Queen of Clubs - Energy - Republican Deck

Queen of Clubs - Energy
Queen of Clubs - Energy

This card features an odd scene that shows Alaska in the background with an oil rig, and a corn field in the front. Energy has become a HUGE issue as gas prices have gone through the roof in the past couple of years. What comments do you think should be at the bottom of this card? Should we replace ethanol (or corn) with gasoline? Should we drill more in Alaska and other places in the US? Can we really become independent from “foreign” oil? Tell us your thoughts.

More About Politically WILD! Playing Cards

We are excited to introduce 2 new political decks of playing cards for the 2008 Presidential Election.  The image you are looking at here is for the Republican Playing Cards.  This is your chance to get involved in a unique deck of "interactive" playing cards that have a little fun with all of the WILD! stuff that goes on during each election cycle.  The deck is "interactive" because the comments in each limited edition come from YOU…the general public!

With the 2008 Election fast approaching, an ongoing war in Iraq, illegal immigration and many other issues are on the minds of Americans.  What lies in their hearts?  Americans are ready for their voice to be heard and what better way for them to express these ideas than through fun deck of playing cards.  Odds are the politicians still won't listen, but we can at least feel like we made an effort.  The BEST way to make your voice heard is to GET OUT AND VOTE every November!

Some of the images consists of politicians and "political celebrities" with their face on the body of an animal while the court cards deal with specific issues which are hot political topics right now.  There is a deck specifically for the Democrats and another one for the Republicans. So come on America, this is your chance to be heard. Who knows, your comments may be used in the next edition.

HOW TO GET YOUR COMMENTS PUT INTO THE NEXT DECK?

Just click on the word "PERMALINK" or "COMMENTS" below and you can tell us what you think the comments should say on this particular "Politically Wild" card.  Once you place your comment you’ll have to check each edition to see if your comments are used in one of the limited edition decks of cards.

Please remember that these are playing cards so we have a limited amount of space.   We ask if you could keep your comments to 75 characters or less.

LIGHTHEARTED CLAUSE:  For those with the inability to lighten up and enjoy life, you may not enjoy the parody in artwork like this.  Please understand that while some images may appear to be in a negative light, it requires creativity to spin some of them in a positive one.  As we all know, everything is in the eyes of the beholder.  So while one image may seem like a slam (or in support) of a particular issue or political figure, the image can really go both ways…positive and/or negative.  The question is can you see the positive?  Can you see the negative?  Either way, please understand that these cards are just for the fun of it and you may need to LIGHTEN UP! Please Note: By posting a comment here you agree to the following rules. 1) By posting you agree that any and all comments may be used in the publication of a deck of cards. You will have to check each edition to see if your comments were used. 2) All comments must be clean AND family friendly or they will NOT be posted. 3) Hackers and attackers will be blocked. 4) All images are copyright Newt’s Playing Cards ( www.newtscards.com ) 5) If you are using IE6 you may run into a problem with the comment box as it does not show all of your comments. We suggest using IE7. ******************************* For wholesale information please contact us at our wholesale playing card site.

I think we need to utilize our own resorcess before trying to go out of the country. We have more oil and resources here. I also think if we were so stricked we could even use some of the same lakes that Canada is using that are connected to us.

We should make Iraq pay us with oil for some of the money we spent to free them.

We have plenty of untapped resources in America that we, for some reason, are unwilling to use, Alaska, for one. Or maybe focus our attention towards an alternitive fuel source instead of throwing money away and building up other countries economies.

Stop driving around so bloody much - get some exercise and lose weight at the same time, after all, the US is the fattest country in the world and uses the most energy per capita! Ban SUV's and other gas guzzlers while clean energy is being developed!

Since the Pelosi-Read Congress took over our gas prices have surged from $2.10 a gallon to over $3.50 a gallon! When Bush and the Republican congress were in the gas only grew from $1.50 to $2.10 a gallon. Now we know who is really at fault for the latest gas prices!

While US companies can't drill off our shores, China, Cuba, Canada and others continue to drill because of Democratic policies! We're talking a little over 100 miles from US cities.

Whatever you do, do NOT impose windfall taxes on the oil companies! If Hillary and Obama get their way the oil companies will be forced to raise gas prices MORE to make up for their stupid windfall tax.

"If America can go to the moon, then in the decades to come we should not ever have to have young Americans sent to any part of the world to defend and die for America's gluttony on fossil fuel.” Senator John Kerry

The price of oil needs to be high so that way maybe it will reduce consumption. We need to build new refineries and we need to look into new resources to fuel our country

A holiday tax relief is a bandaid to the real problem. We need to reduce our consumption while drilling for new oil in Alaska and other parts of our country. Can't we save a polar bear and my SUV from extinction ?!

If they would treat oil like any other product, like food, clothing etc. then the investors wouldn't have such a big leaway on raising their price so high.

Its time we start using our resources at home and stop fueling the economy of countries abroad. We have plenty of oil right here in the good ol USA.
