Queen of Clubs - Energy - Democrat Deck

Queen of Clubs - Energy
Queen of Clubs - Energy

This card features an odd scene that shows Alaska in the background with an oil rig, and a corn field in the front. Energy has become a HUGE issue as gas prices have gone through the roof in the past couple of years. What comments do you think should be at the bottom of this card? Should we replace ethanol (or corn) with gasoline? Should we drill more in Alaska and other places in the US? Can we really become independent from “foreign” oil? Tell us your thoughts.

More About Politically WILD! Playing Cards

We are excited to introduce 2 new political decks of playing cards for the 2008 Presidential Election.  The image you are looking at here is for the Democrat Playing Cards.  This is your chance to get involved in a unique deck of "interactive" playing cards that have a little fun with all of the WILD! stuff that goes on during each election cycle.  The deck is "interactive" because the comments in each limited edition come from YOU…the general public!

With the 2008 Election fast approaching, an ongoing war in Iraq, illegal immigration and many other issues are on the minds of Americans.  What lies in their hearts?  Americans are ready for their voice to be heard and what better way for them to express these ideas than through fun deck of playing cards.  Odds are the politicians still won't listen, but we can at least feel like we made an effort.  The BEST way to make your voice heard is to GET OUT AND VOTE every November!

Some of the images consists of politicians and "political celebrities" with their face on the body of an animal while the court cards deal with specific issues which are hot political topics right now.  There is a deck specifically for the Democrats and another one for the Republicans. So come on America, this is your chance to be heard. Who knows, your comments may be used in the next edition.

HOW TO GET YOUR COMMENTS PUT INTO THE NEXT DECK?

Just click on the word "PERMALINK" or "COMMENTS" below and you can tell us what you think the comments should say on this particular "Politically Wild" card.  Once you place your comment you’ll have to check each edition to see if your comments are used in one of the limited edition decks of cards.

Please remember that these are playing cards so we have a limited amount of space.   We ask if you could keep your comments to 75 characters or less.

LIGHTHEARTED CLAUSE:  For those with the inability to lighten up and enjoy life, you may not enjoy the parody in artwork like this.  Please understand that while some images may appear to be in a negative light, it requires creativity to spin some of them in a positive one.  As we all know, everything is in the eyes of the beholder.  So while one image may seem like a slam (or in support) of a particular issue or political figure, the image can really go both ways…positive and/or negative.  The question is can you see the positive?  Can you see the negative?  Either way, please understand that these cards are just for the fun of it and you may need to LIGHTEN UP! Please Note: By posting a comment here you agree to the following rules. 1) By posting you agree that any and all comments may be used in the publication of a deck of cards. You will have to check each edition to see if your comments were used. 2) All comments must be clean AND family friendly or they will NOT be posted. 3) Hackers and attackers will be blocked. 4) All images are copyright Newt’s Playing Cards ( www.newtscards.com ) 5) If you are using IE6 you may run into a problem with the comment box as it does not show all of your comments. We suggest using IE7. ******************************* For wholesale information please contact us at our wholesale playing card site.

Stop driving around so bloody much - get some exercise and lose weight at the same time, after all, the US is the fattest country in the world and uses the most energy per capita! Ban SUV's and other gas guzzlers while clean energy is being developed!

Alaska should NEVER be an option just for the sake of getting more oil which destroys our environment. Switch to corn!

"I want to take those profits. And I want to put them into a strategic energy fund..."
Hillary Clinton, February 2, 2007
We should take the profit away from big oil and use it for the better of our nation.

"The same with energy. You know, we can’t keep talking about our dependence on foreign oil and the need to deal with global warming and the challenge that it poses to our climate and to God’s creation and just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."
Hillary Clinton, June 5, 2007

We should repeal billions of dollars in tax breaks for oil companies, find ways to develop alternative fuels, and require cars and trucks to be far more fuel-efficient.

It wasn't the Exxon Valdez captain's driving that caused the Alaskan oil spill. It was yours. ~Greenpeace advertisement, New York Times, 25 February 1990

The struggle to save the global environment is in one way much more difficult than the struggle to vanquish Hitler, for this time the war is with ourselves. We are the enemy, just as we have only ourselves as allies. ~Al Gore

Our president needs to impose a windfall tax on the oil companies! They have ripped off the American people long enough.

The only thing we can do to help our energy crisis is to build. Build nuclear plants(France is 80% nuclear, and it's the cleanest and longest lasting source of power), build refineries(none have been built in 30 years), drill for oil(Alaskas reserve was set aside for that purpose), explore new sources of oil(to heck with someones view of the ocean), WAKE UP,,,, current technology doesn't have a means of clean, sustainable, cheap energy. We need oil, for now, until we can come up with a way to have clean power. It's not cost effective, for now, to use hydrogen, ethanol, methanol, solar, wind, hydro-electric, or any other source. We need to explore and exploit all of our possibilities.

Maybe one way of fixing this crisis is when you lose you license then you lose your car. That would take a lot of cars and harmful poeple off the road.
